Dear all,
It is only a few weeks before my departure and honestly I am getting on my nerves. It is not only such a massive trip and the unknown that concerns me, but also all things to do before departure. Currently I am full time –besides working- doing visa´s paper work, appointment to doctors, and read, read and more read about destinations so I can be well informed.
Visas for so many countries is a complicated matter. Not only takes time, lot of different forms and protocols but also it is a logistic challenge. For example Vietnam takes 10 days to issue the visa and its validity period is 6 month since the issue date. Jordan takes only 1 day but you have to use it within 30 days since issue. So some visas (like India, Vietnam) I am tackling well in advance and others (Jordan) I am leaving them for last minute. Some other countries have a visa-on-arrival program which makes things a lot easier. Right now I have my Argentinean passport in India Embassy and the Spanish one in Vietnam Embassy. The good news is that I already have the Cambodian visa! the first one to arrive.
Vaccines is another important thing to carry on. Some of them should have a 30-day incubation period before traveling. I´ve already made some studies and checks and I am alright so I´ll start the vaccine program this week.
Reading is the heaviest part, it is such a lot of information that it´s hard to process all the data. I am now focusing on the first countries to visit: Jordan, Israel, Vietnam and Cambodia. I´ll read about the rest of them while I am en-route.
I guess I´ll end up being an excellent project manager after orchestrating all this mess.
Cheers!
